Barefoot in the grass

Today at Holmdel Park in 60* sunshine we had a picnic, some walking, some picture taking and some interesting running.  After lounging in the sun while enjoying some lunch we            shared a peasant 20 minute walk. Then Arlene went off to take some pictures and I went off to try a workout on tired legs. I jogged 1/2 Mile circuit around this starting field for the cross country course. Then realizing I had the wrong shoes for actual run I made a decision to become a Barefoot runner for a while. I took off my socks and shoes and ran from the starting line across the entire opening field and back 4 * each time I felt a little better and opened up my stride and quick into my pace. Turned out to be a pretty good workout. I measured each run from the starting line up and back to be about one third of a mile. So all of that covered about two and a half miles when I concluded with shoes on one more circuit around the field. It was not a wasted day. Plus the grass felt wonderful on my bare feet. I will definitely be running some more Barefoot workouts.

Stats are stable.
