Time out for eye surgery?

December 16th, Friday
So, yesterday I had an operation on my left eye to remove a cataract. It was a relatively simple procedure, everything went very well and I was in and out in less than three hours; no pain, no discomfort. The rub is that I cannot run for at least two weeks! I will survive and continue to post about things that interest me (and I hope you) regarding +70Running, and try to not go stir crazy.
Thanks again to my loyal and occasional readers.

  1. Thanks, Mary. I am feeling quite well and confident, mostly because of encouragement by friends who reported stories like yours. Arlene and I hope we can get together during the holidays. I am sure Dnnnis’ Nativity people need some warm clothes in this weather.

    1. Hey Robby:
My wife had cataract surgery and all went well and vision was much improved. Hope your results are very positive also.

      1. Thanks Johnny. I’m feeling pretty well so far. The world is much brighter. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.

        1. Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year also to you and your family. Hope that 2017 is a healthy and great year for all of the O’Rourkes.

  2. Hang in there, Rob. The good vision you get is worth the temporary frustration. My brother had it done, and wound up with 20/10 vision in one eye and 20/30 in the other, on which they had planned to do a cornea transplant, but decided not to since 20/30 made the procedure unjustifiable. He is doing so well since he had the cataracts removed. Dennis and I hope you also experience a remarkable improvement.
